Booking A Limo For Your Business Trip To LA: Important Dos And Don'ts

Posted on: 30 March 2016

If you plan to travel to Los Angeles on business in the near future, then there's a good chance you'll be flying into LAX. Once you arrive at LAX, however, you may need a reliable form of transportation to get you to your hotel, convention center, or other destination. Often times, booking an LAX limo service is a great way to get the comfortable, reliable ride you need without having to wait for a taxi or shuttle service. Before you book a limo service, however, there are some things you need to be sure of.

DO Know What's Included

Start by finding out what's included versus what might cost you extra with your limo service. For example, after a long flight, you may want nothing more than a refreshing beverage once you get into the limo. There may be a variety of beverage options available in the limo itself, but these may not be complimentary. Furthermore, you'll want to check for other charges that may be added to your quoted price, such as waiting charges, fuel surcharges, and the like.

DON'T Forget About Minimums

Furthermore, understand that some limo companies (in order to make a profit) will require that you book your airport limo for a minimum number of hours at a certain charge per hour. For example, you may only need your limo to get from the airport to your hotel (which may only be a 40 minute drive in traffic), but you may be required to book for a minimum of two or even three hours in order to reserve your limo.

DO Keep All Receipts and Records

If you're traveling on business, there's a good chance that you can write off your limo expenses on your tax return--assuming you're paying out-of-pocket and not using a company charge card. If you plan on doing this, be sure to hold onto your receipts for your limo ride to/from the airport.

DON'T Forget to Tip the Driver

Finally, remember that you're representing your business while you travel. Be sure to use proper etiquette, be kind, and tip your limo driver. Any service charge included in your limo price is likely not a tip. If you tip in cash, ask your driver to reflect this on the receipt for tax purposes. By keeping these dos and don'ts in mind, you can better enjoy your limo transportation to and from LAX while on business. Contact a company like LAX Car Service for more information.
